INTAKE AND DISCUSSION
It all begins with you completing the intake form below! Within a week of you submitting it, I'll reach out to ask any questions I have about your vision. I'm looking forward to geting to know you a little!
COMPOSITION SKETCH
Once I have determined I understand what you are looking for and have asked any necessary follow up questions, I will do a very brief, non-detailed sketch in pencil to determine composition. Composition is simply the placement of main objects within the page. I’ll wait to begin painting until I have had composition approval.
TIMELINE ESTIMATE
I’ll communicate a timeline for project completion, depending on the complexity and size of the project. Timelines begin at composition approval and can vary, but are typically 2-4 weeks in length. Timeline does not include shipping times.
UPDATES
Communication is important to me, and I will keep you updated during the process. You can expect to hear that work is coming along and you will be the first to know when your work is complete!
FINAL PREVIEW
I will submit photos when the art is completed. I will ship upon final approval. The cost of shipping will be added to your total. There is narrow opportunity for revision in watercolor, so please trust the process and realize that if you are commissioning my art, you will receive my art! Though I will do my absolute best to capture your vision and give you a piece of art I am proud of, I will not make significant changes to the final work.
The
Process
All art in its originality belongs to the artist for the sake of reproduction. Original art is not to be reproduced and sold without the written permission of the artist Lisa Mayhew.
